April 30.....Bittersweet day...

Bittersweet day, loved doing my morning workouts outside....sometimes sunny...sometimes breezy....sometimes down right windy...but always enjoyable in the warmth of Palm Springs, snow topped mountains in the distance, Palm Trees all around, sweet smell of spring flowers...I could get used to this. 

Lucy was really interested in the fish in the pond..if she was not leashed...we could have been eating fish for dinner.. 

Drove into town for a few things.

Spent the day at the pool, chilaxing, chatting, sunning and maybe a brewski or two....

Great end to a great vacation...let the driving begin!

April 29- day before the last day in Palm Springs

Finally saw a Roadrunner...Beep beep!

Slow start to the day with Lucy going to daycare again and us off to the Casino! This was me $20.00 poorer than an hour later!

This was George....$40.00 poorer than a half hour later...

Took a drive through Movie Colony. 

Originating in the 1930s with the luxurious El Mirador as its centerpiece, this posh area became the private refuge of Hollywood royalty - Cary Grant, Gloria Swanson, Tony Curtis, Roger Moore, Marilyn Monroe, among others.

It's the kind of area where you just get a peek-a-boo view of what's inside...like a teaser...

This one was Cary Grant's estate.

This one was my favourite teasers.....I really wanted to see what was on the other side of this opaque glassed gates...

And the flowering trees and cactus are amazing this time of year..

Then this oddity just appeared...it's called Robo Lights...2 acres of fun..

It was closed when we were there, I think Christmas is the time to come to see this.

Then....off to the pool! It's so nice that it's off season here so there is next to nobody in the pools. Just the way we like it.
